What is Eligna?
Eligna is an app for running a home and a life in one place. It holds the chores, the meal plan, the shopping list, the shared money and your own habits, and it keeps everybody who lives there looking at the same thing. The point is that the work of remembering gets shared instead of being carried silently by one person.
Is Eligna free?
Yes, on your own. The free plan gives you personal habits and routines, home tasks, a shopping list and a basic weekly view, with no card and no time limit. Paying is for sharing: the plans exist so that two or more people can use one home together, with shared chores, meals, shopping and split costs.
How much does Eligna cost?
Free on your own. Just me is 4.99 pounds a month or 39.99 a year. The two of us is 7.99 a month or 69.99 a year. Our home, for up to six people, is 13.99 a month or 119.99 a year. You pay for the size of the home, never per person, so nobody is charged for joining.
How many people can share one Eligna household?
Up to six. The two of us covers two people and Our home covers up to six. Everybody in the home gets the full plan; only one person pays. If your home is bigger than six, write to us and we will sort something out.
How long is the free trial?
Fourteen days, on any paid plan, and nothing is charged until it ends. You can cancel at any point during the trial and pay nothing. You only ever get one trial, so starting a second account does not give you another.
Who pays when a household shares a plan?
One person. They start the plan and are the only one billed; everybody else joins at no cost. Payment is never moved onto somebody else without them agreeing to it, so being made an admin does not make you responsible for the bill.
What happens if the person paying leaves the household?
Nothing is taken away straight away. The plan runs to the end of the period that was already paid for, and the household keeps working exactly as it did until that date. After that, any admin who wants to keep it can start a plan of their own. Nobody is billed for somebody else decision.
Where is my data stored?
In the European Union. The database is in Frankfurt and the AI runs on Google Cloud in Belgium. Your data is never used to train models. You can ask for a copy of everything we hold, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
How do I cancel?
In the app, under your plan in Profile. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and nothing to phone about.
What does the AI actually do?
It helps you plan and it can create things for you: a task, a habit, a chore, a shopping item, a meal plan that writes its own ingredients. It reads how much you have on and what time you have, not your journal, which is never sent to a model at all. It runs in the EU and is not trained on what you write.
Is there an iPhone or Android app?
Eligna runs in any browser and installs to your home screen like an app. Native iPhone and Android builds are on the way. Everything works the same either way, and your household is the same household on every device.
